Who reads the site

We're a new publication, so we won't quote audience numbers we can't back up. What we can describe is who the guides are written for: adults in the U.S., with a strong South Carolina and Grand Strand focus, who are dealing with legal processes, scams, insurance, contracts and government services. That includes young adults, parents, older readers, caregivers and small-business owners. We're glad to share real traffic figures from analytics once they exist.

• Sponsored articles, always labeled as sponsored at the top of the page, written to the same accuracy standards as everything else.

Editorial independence

Advertisers don't see guides before publication and can't change what a guide says about a process, a law or a risk. We don't accept ads for products that promise guaranteed outcomes, debt or tax relief that charges before doing any work, or anything we'd warn readers about in our own guides.

Legal, financial and professional-services advertisers are welcome, provided their ads follow the rules that apply to their profession.
